I’ve heard about some of my favorite famous meditation teachers and I’ve always thought it would be nice to have a list of them.
A couple of weeks ago two teachers from the famous Buddhist retreat center in France were featured in The New York Times. The first was a young woman who called herself the “Sage of the Desert” and wrote in her journal, “I am nothing. I am an empty shell. If I am not filled with this emptiness, I am nothing. I am a void. I am a dark place.
This is a quote from a meditation teacher who we feel was not actually a great meditation teacher. She once described herself as “a great teacher, but a terrible teacher.
The Sage of the Desert is now part of the Buddhist tradition. They believe that all our thoughts and desires are just a ruse to keep us from recognizing the emptiness of our lives and how the mind actually works. As a child, perhaps she was taught in an overly-religious environment, but as an adult she has realized that there is no right way to live. She simply prefers to live as a hermit and meditate, as opposed to the popular image of a monk.
Her book, The Buddhist Path, is a series of meditations that she has been compiling since she was a child. After she died, her students published a book of her writings. The book is not as popular as the book of her teachings, but it is a very nice compendium of a great life.
It’s an interesting book, but the last time I saw her, she was wearing a monk’s robe and chanting in a dark room. She was a wonderful teacher, but she was also a bit of a hippie hippie hippie.
The quote from Mahasi Sayadaw, the great founder of Theravada Buddhism, was one of the most famous quotes I’ve ever heard. I read it in his book, A Path to the Bodhisattva, and it’s an interesting read. I have a feeling that the quote is important if you are thinking about getting into to Buddhism.
Theravada Buddhism is a branch of Buddhism that originated in Burma during the early 20th Century and centered on the idea of a path to enlightenment and a set of ideals that would help people improve their lives. The founder of Theravada Buddhism is known as the “founder of the modern world.” This quote is one of the most famous quotes in the history of Buddhism. It is often recited by people who are starting out in the path.
If you’re an early Buddhist, reading a famous quote like this can be extremely helpful. It will give you a sense of what it’s like to be on the same path as people like Mahasi Sayadaw and the other great meditators.
If youre still not convinced that meditation is a good thing, then read the following quote by Thich Nhat Hanh. It has become a classic quote in the history of Buddhism and is often cited when someone recites a quote by a famous meditation teacher.
