I am a Buddhist, and I have been practicing meditation for the last 15 years. My aim is to have a clear and profound experience of the present moment, and to be fully present in my life. I don’t know if anyone has actually meditated for a long time, but I found that if I meditated for a short time, I could get into a much better meditative state. So I would say that meditation is definitely worth trying.
