I have to give this a shout out because I feel like I’ve been missing out on a lot of opportunities because of my tendency to put myself down. Meditation is a great place to start, but then you have to take it a step further. For the most part, you can’t do it sitting in a cubicle. You have to actually get out there, do it on your own, and have someone else support you to make it happen.
For you to meditate, you have to actually be in the space. This means that you have to find a private spot and get comfortable. I have an office which is usually pretty easy to find, but you might want to look for a quiet place in the middle of the day. This is best if you can find a place where you can just close your eyes and do it.
I’m not a fan of the idea that meditation is just something you do in a room. Rather, I think that the notion that people are not ready for meditating yet is the wrong way to think about it. As much as it may feel like a “time out,” being in the space is the most important part. The first step is to find a quiet space, the second is actually to sit down, and the third is actually to begin.
The best meditation I’ve ever felt is inside a meditation room with my two cats. I just feel so relaxed. I’m sitting there, eyes closed, and I can go to sleep like I’m not even there. And then I wake up and start walking around the room, and I can have a completely free and clear mind, which I think is pretty amazing.
That said, I have also found meditation rooms at times to be very claustrophobic. The only other time I have been unable to go to sleep in a room with my cats was when my aunt was in the hospital and I could not leave without her. So it seems that the first step in meditation is to actually sit down.
It’s only when we meditate that we realize how much our mind is in control of our actions. It’s hard to fully accept this when you have no control over your thoughts. We can all agree that the mind is an incredible machine that can be manipulated, but the problem is it’s a machine that always thinks for us and doesn’t think for itself.
You might be thinking “but I’ve been meditating for six days now, how can they get any better?” Well, that’s one of the reasons why I don’t think it’s a good idea to practice meditation in a room with cats. Cats will have a very strong influence on your meditation, they will bring you down.
I know its a controversial topic and most people will probably say I’m just joking, but I think the problem with meditation is that it is easy, and people think that because it is easy they can do it and it makes them more powerful than they really are. That is a common belief that some people have and unfortunately it is also the reality. By doing things that you don’t want to do, you become more powerful than you really are.
Meditation is a very controlled, disciplined, and structured activity that can have many effects. It can increase self-esteem and self-awareness and therefore, in a positive way, help you to be more effective as a person. To do this well, you have to be willing to stick to a certain amount of time per day.
Meditation is a very individual matter. It should really be a part of your lifestyle, not something that happens once in a blue moon. For those that are interested in meditation, it can take many forms, but the most common ones are the following: breathing, self-reflection, relaxation, visualization, and guided imagery.
