I find that it’s harder to think about things when you’re not distracted by other thoughts and when you’re not trying to concentrate on some abstract concept. This is especially true if you’re writing a blog post or when you’re in a meeting. It’s like when you’re reading a book and you can’t concentrate on the story at all. The trick is to avoid these distractions if you can. It also helps that the practice is relaxing and meditative.
Well, I say that I cant concentrate on anything at all. This is because my mind has a habit of wandering around. If I look at a book with my eyes closed, I lose the flow of the book. But if I look at a book with my eyes open, I find myself lost in the story. This is why I don’t believe in meditating, I could just as well be reading a book.
