I’m actually not quite sure what the word meditation means. It’s kind of like a word that is used interchangeably with meditation but which has a slightly different meaning.
Meditation is the practice of focusing on something which you are not really paying attention to and being still for a period of time. Meditation is like a way of being aware of what you are focusing on and staying still for. It’s not a state of being, its a way of being.
In other words, meditation is just like an exercise. It also is an experience, since a lot of the time we don’t pay attention to what we’re doing. We’re just doing something mindless, but we’re not really aware of it yet. So its a great way of being aware of those things and being still.
Meditation involves both stillness and being aware of your thoughts. By stillness, we mean having no expectation of the thoughts you are thinking. By awareness, we mean that we are aware of what we are thinking.
Meditation is a form of self-reflection, but it’s not only about doing this mindless shit. There are a couple of other ways to meditate: meditating with a mantra, and meditating with a certain time period. The reason for this is because people tend to meditate on the same day in a certain time period.
The key point here is that it’s okay to be aware even of the thoughts you’re thinking. We talk about this in theory often, but it’s actually an important thing. We don’t want to meditate on “blah, blah, blah, let’s go to the mall for a minute.” Of course we want to meditate on “blah, blah, blah, let’s go to the mall for a minute” but we don’t want to meditate on the thoughts.
Most of the time you dont really want to meditate on the thoughts, if you want to meditate on a certain thought, go ahead and meditate on that thought. If you want to meditate on a certain thought, you can do that. However, when the thought is something you dont want to meditate on i.e. if you dont want to meditate on your thoughts, then you need to be aware of the thought youre thinking.
The problem is that when we stop trying to meditate on our thoughts, we stop having them. If we only meditate on thoughts and stop being aware of them, then we’re no longer meditating on our thoughts and we’re no longer aware of the thoughts. And if our thoughts don’t have a “place” in our mind’s consciousness, then they can’t really “be” our thoughts.
Meditation is one of the most important things we can do. Like anything else, it’s important for us to be aware of what we are meditating on, and to remain aware of ourselves. This is important because it is the most important aspect of our mind and body. It is also important because being aware of our thoughts keeps us from losing what we are meditating on.
Meditation is a practice that we can do at any time that we are not engaging in something else. In fact, at any time, we should be doing it. It is not a state that we should be in every minute of our day, because that is not the type of state we would be in if we weren’t meditating. But it is a good thing to do, and it is a practice that is very important.
