I like a simple meditation. I’m a big fan of the “meditation song,” and this is an example of one of my favorite tunes.
The lyrics are simple, but the melody is so powerful that you’ll probably be humming it for hours after you finish reading it. The whole song is about being aware of your thoughts, and it’s easy to imagine it’s kind of an anthem for a new era. It’s a good thing our world is turning into a kind of meditation and meditation is important for our well-being.

I like that its a song of awareness, and its a nice way to start a meditation, but I think the way the writer made it seem more like this is the song for a meditator, rather than a rock star. I always feel like a rock star is something you do when you are famous. Its better to have that kind of fame and recognition than a little bit of fame and obscurity. For me, it depends on what kind of meditator I want to be.
I think you can definitely be a rock star and not become a meditator. Sure, you can be a rock star and become an expert in all things rock, but you can also be a rock star and fail to be a musician.

Well, that makes sense, but I have to ask, why don’t you meditate? How can you possibly get better at meditation, if you don’t? The thought of practicing meditation is frightening, but it’s also liberating. In the end, we’re all just the same, and we’re all just moving towards enlightenment.
The reason why meditation can be terrifying is because it’s a tool, not a goal. Meditation should be practiced to assist the mind in clearing the cobwebs, because you don’t need to make a spiritual progress, to attain enlightenment. In other words, if you’ve practiced meditation for years, then you’ve already accomplished that goal. So, if you’re not sure, don’t be a slave to it.
The thing that is scary about meditation is that you can’t really tell whether you’re meditating well or well enough. You just know, youve got this technique, and youre moving forward with it, but you dont know if that makes sense. You dont know if you’re really focusing, you just know you’re meditating. It’s a lot like driving a car, you dont really know how to drive a car, and you don’t know if your mind is working.
