This is the first of 4 outlines that are all about meditation. The aim of the meditation outline is to help you set goals and take the necessary steps to achieve them.
It might sound obvious but if you’re not taking the steps necessary to achieve your goals you’re just not.
Here is what the meditation outline is about. To write it I had to sit down and write down some goals I wanted to achieve. Each goal describes how to do it in a specific way. Most goals are very detailed and will require some time and thought. The goal I wrote down for the meditation outline is very simple: to do a “Meditation” every day.
I’ve discovered just by thinking about it that a goal, when it is defined as a goal, is a great way to focus our thoughts more than if we use a goal as a way to jumpstart something we’re doing or to set a schedule for our day. In terms of focus, a goal can also be defined as a set of actions we need to take in order to achieve our goal.
Although there are no specific actions, there are specific times and actions. For example, a goal might require us to meditate for 10 minutes a day, but if it is defined as a goal, we can actually do this for 10 minutes three times a day. It just requires more thought and intention on our part to define this goal. It’s also important to note that a goal is something that is very specific.
What is a goal? In meditation, we can define a goal to be something we have to achieve in any way we like. It could be in the form of a goal, a state of mind, a goal in a game, or anything in between. Whatever it is, we can define it as a goal and then set a time to achieve it.
The first step to achieving a goal is to start thinking about it. Then decide exactly when you will start and exactly what you will do to achieve it. But what matters is not the specifics of the goal, but the goal itself. So for 10 minutes a day, we can set a goal that is specific, but also very vague. We can set a goal to just see if it’s something we want to do, and then we can set a time to achieve it.
The goal for meditation is to be able to sit still without thinking about anything and that is a very difficult task. So there is a specific goal: to do this for 10 minutes a day. But the specific goal is so vague that we can say “I want to sit still for 10 minutes a day” and actually achieve it.
In an effort to be more specific and more actionable in our meditation, we’ve set up a meditation outline. The goal of this meditation is to be able to sit still for 10 minutes a day and then we can sit still for 10 minutes a day.
