If you’re a busy person and you’re traveling with your kids, or you’re an adult with kids, or you’re an older adult with kids, or you’re a teen, or you’re a parent with kids, or you’re a young child with a new sibling, then meditation can be a great way to connect with yourself and your own inner wisdom.
Meditation is a technique that helps you focus your mind on your inner wisdom. You can sit in a comfortable chair and focus on your breath, or you can sit in a chair with a meditative cushion, and focus on your breath. It’s all the same thing: getting your attention to your breath. It’s a simple practice, but it can be used to do a lot of good.
In the summer of 2012, I was at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I volunteered as a tutor for the university’s psychology department. I was doing this because I wanted to study meditation and how it could be used as a therapy or an educational tool. I ended up studying meditation for just over four years.
I started meditating at the age of 11. I was always very curious about what meditation was and how it could be used. I meditated for a year (and a half) before going back to school. During that time I did a lot of research on the topic and discovered some great sites on the internet that offered free video lectures and guided meditations. I also read a lot of books, and I would meditate at the same time as I read.
I am not sure what the benefits of meditation are, but I do know that I now feel very grounded and relaxed with the help of a great meditation app. I also don’t think I’ve ever felt as calm or meditative as I do right now. There’s something more relaxing about meditation and I think it makes us more productive when we find our center.
I think meditation is great, but I think it’s also a skill you need to cultivate. It’s not a one size fits all exercise. It works best for a person who practices it regularly, but even then it’s not for everyone. I’ve tried it myself and didn’t come out the other side feeling super relaxed and calm, so I think I’m probably biased.
