I am the president of a local non-profit organization who is dedicated to helping and empowering women and men with a variety of issues, from addiction to mental illness to domestic violence. During this time of transition, I am currently on a retreat in Arizona.
I recently had the opportunity to hear a talk from the president of my organization, about meditation. It was so inspiring, I am already planning on starting my own meditation retreat.
As the president of my organization, you can probably imagine I have a really busy life. When I’m not doing that, I find myself reading a lot, writing articles, and going to bed and getting up early to work on the next project. Because I have so many responsibilities, I have to find ways to balance it. I often found myself doing two or three things at the same time to make sure I got everything done and to ensure I got everything done right.
I know, I know, it sounds pretty crazy. But I am a pretty busy person. There are many things I find myself doing that are not the smartest things to do. Things that I can do in the moment, but should not be doing. Things that I definitely shouldn’t be doing. Things that are not really part of my job description or my life, but I feel like I should be doing anyway.
You might think that this is impossible for you to do, but you are not alone. At the end of the day, if you are not using your time wisely, you will end up doing things that aren’t the best use of your time. It’s pretty easy to become distracted by other things or to get caught up in the things you think you have to do.
Meditation retreats are a thing that many people love to do, but the reality is that they are very often things that are in no way beneficial to your life. If you want to be more productive and be able to live more fulfilling lives, you can try to get some help to help you get back on track, but you should not just go to a retreat and think that you have cured your chronic pain and anxiety.
This is a good example of how people get things done that never seem to be important in their life. A meditation retreat is a chance to sit and reflect on your life, to get back to the basics so you can get back into the flow of your life again. But for whatever reason, the retreat is just a distraction from your life’s true purpose.
The idea of a retreat is to have a place where you can clear your mind, and that’s not always easy. The trouble with meditating is that you are often so focused on your thoughts that you forget to pay attention to your body. And your body is the thing you will be focusing on when you come back to your life.
There are plenty of ways to meditate, but the easiest way I know is to have a sit-down with your arms crossed on your knees. Put your chin on your hands and rest your forehead on the backs of your knees. This is called “open hands.” This is one of the most common and easiest methods to get focused and get going.
