Meditation is a lifestyle that doesn’t have a set rule. It just depends on what you have to do, what you are comfortable with, and what you need to calm your mind.
In this case, I am not so sure. Meditation is a lifestyle. It does not have a fixed rule. It is not always something we need to be doing. If you are on a long flight when you really have no reason to be, you can do a quick meditation practice. If you are staying in your room and feeling really tired, you can meditate. You can also do a brief meditation practice to relax, or you can meditate to stay focused.
Meditation, like yoga, is like a game. You don’t have to like it. You can practice it, or you can go for a run or just sit in silence. You can do the practice and then stop, or you can do it and then go again. It is a matter of finding what you like and what works for you. Like yoga, there are many ways to do it.
As you go through your day, you can sit in your room and meditate. Then you can meditate to relax, or you can meditate to focus. When we think back to the beginning of yoga, we see a lot of people just sitting, doing nothing. It may or may not have had an effect. But now we see that the practice actually helps us. We see that it helps us focus and relax. It helps us be more present. It helps us better focus on what we want to be doing. It helps us stay centered. It helps us be more centered.
What we are seeing is the benefit of the practice. For so many people, trying to meditate just isn’t working. It can’t help us focus. It doesn’t help us be present. In fact, it can make us more distracted. Meditation doesn’t automatically make us more present. It doesn’t automatically keep us centered. But it does make us more present. And more present means more chances to be mindful and present with the world around us.
In the end of last week we thought it best to just let it go, as we’ve discovered that meditation can actually make you more distracted in the very moment you’re trying to meditate (which is more than you ever could be by attempting to meditate).
The good news is that meditation can actually make us more mindful. In fact, it can make us more mindfulness, which is all to the good. But meditation is not a panacea for all of our problems. As we’ve found out in our research, it can actually make us less mindful of our surroundings and more distracted. Like, a lot more.
We found that we were more mindful of our surroundings when we were meditating. This may sound counter-intuitive but meditation isnt really the same as being mindful. Mindfulness is about being in a state of being in the present moment. Meditation is about being here now. Meditation is about being present in the moment. It means to be in the here and now.
Well said. We are so busy multitasking in our lives that we forget to be present in the here and now. It’s easy to fall into this trap. We’ve all been there. The more we talk on the phone the more we’re actually talking but we don’t mind, we just don’t care, its just a way to keep our sanity.
