For those who find their mind wandering by the end of the day, a simple way to calm yourself before bed is to take a brief meditation break. The best way to accomplish this is to simply take a deep breath and concentrate on the present moment. This may be the only time in the day that you are completely in the moment, which is a great time to practice meditation.
If you’ve never tried meditating before, let me be the first to tell you it’s not for the faint of heart. There are a lot of mind-altering foods to avoid, and the thought of eating anything that could have negative effects on your body is not something I’m willing to put myself through again. Also, I’m not a fan of the idea of a break in meditation.
You don’t need to meditate to be aware. It’s not like you can’t just be aware of what your body is doing. But if you are always aware of the present moment, you won’t be able to take the time to remember the past. And you won’t be aware of your feelings about any of the past. If you are aware of your feelings, then you are aware of them.
Like most of the other meditation techniques that we cover in this book, non duality meditation requires you to be aware of what your body is doing. But the idea that you have to be able to look into your body and see something else, is not something that would be helpful, and it will probably lead to you not being able to experience anything.
That’s not my point. So please understand that I am not saying that you have to meditate every day, I’m saying that you are not meditating every day. You are meditating every day when you are aware of your body. If you feel depressed about something, you can be aware of that and then you can learn to understand what is going on in your body.
You have to realize that a lot of the time you are not actually meditating or experiencing with a sense of depth and clarity, you are not really doing it. When you are not aware of your body, it is your experience, you are just looking at it, not really experiencing it. A lot of people are so used to looking at their bodies, they don’t notice they are actually looking at themselves. The same thing goes for everyone else.
There is a kind of “duality” involved in meditation. You are not actually meditating or experiencing with a sense of depth and clarity, you are not really doing it. The same thing goes for everybody else. This is one of the most misunderstood aspects of meditation.
Meditations are all about duality. This is because when you are sitting in a quiet room, there will be a sensation of being inside and outside of yourself. This is because your body isn’t a separate object, you are not separate. You are actually part of your own body, and the same goes for everyone else.
There are two main types of meditation: meditation on duality and meditation on non-duality. The former is much more focused on the idea that you are one with yourself, whereas the latter uses the notion of a third dimension to help you feel more connected to all the other things in your life.
I am trying to help you. Meditation on non-duality is very much like meditation on duality. What one might call the “third body” (your mind, your thoughts, your emotions, etc) is actually a collection of your various selves. It is through this that you can experience, and in fact experience, your many selves at once. In fact, there are two types of meditation on non-duality.
