You are on an open deck or a grassy field and are looking down over a field or a river, the sun is just beginning to set and the sky is a beautiful, deep blue. If you are at the beach or on a mountain, the sun sets for a short time and you can see the stars. Now, as you slowly look down, you begin to feel a sense of peace. As the sky goes from black and gray to a deep blue, you begin to feel lighter.

It’s important to remember that our feelings are just as important as our thoughts. We often forget about them because we don’t think about them. We think of them as just “stuff” but they’re actually the root of our emotions. The best way to focus our mind is to spend it on the things we want, or that we think we have to do. If we focus on the immediate, we will inevitably miss out on making the larger, more important, and important goals we have for our lives.
