To get more life, James Cameron has created an app called “The Day I Ruled the Universe.” It will allow fans to track their favorite celebrities’ physical and mental lives to see how long they’ve lived, how much they have to eat, and how much they have to drink. The creator of this app is a guy named Brian Grazer, who has already done a few experiments with it.
Brian Grazer is a neuroscientist who is not exactly what you’d call a scientist. His primary goal is to increase longevity in humans. You would think that after so many years of living for him on Earth, he would have figured out what the hell he was doing, but no, this particular experiment was done by him on a remote island off the coast of Australia.
Grazer is testing the effects of meditation on humans. He claims that it will increase longevity, but I don’t think I’d want to be around him for a few years after he gets around to it. I mean, what does he do on an island for a year? Do he go out and take a hike with his wife? He seems cool, but I wouldn’t want to be around him for a while.
Apparently there is a lot of controversy about the concept behind meditation, and it’s not just about whether or not you agree with the theory. People have been skeptical of the idea that you can actually get to a state of non-thinking, and the idea that a person is able to access some type of “mindstream” through meditation. The problem is that the effects of meditation are very short-lived and don’t last long in the presence of modern technology.
The problem is that we are a very technological society and most of our technology is in the cloud. The internet and emails can be accessed from anywhere, anytime, and we can’t even see our own thoughts.
